HOW TO SET UP 1/3 ZOOM INTERFACE FOR VIDEO - 2/3 ZOOM INTERFACE FOR SCREEN SHARE

FIGURE OUT WHERE 1/3 SCREEN VIDEO SLIDER MARK SHOULD BE IN ZOOM MAXIMIZE MODE

BEST WAY

  1. During CE21 Training (or coordinating with CE21/Reid at a later date/time) measure actual laptop display screen width-wise at home (not including the monitor bezel - pure monitor screen!)

  2. Divide that number by 3 (use Google)

  3. Measure that 1/3 distance from the RIGHT side of the Zoom Interface (not including monitor bezels)

  4. Pull the side-by-side slider to that 1/3 distance from the right of Zoom

  5. Note where the Zoom slides vertical line is in the Zoom Inteface

  6. The vertical line will fall somewhere in the Zoom interface with buttons at the bottom - note where this is - such as it's right between "in" in the word "Recording"

  7. Write this detail down in notepad/notes and save into CE21 folder for easy reference.

OTHER OPTIONS

  1. Place some console tape with a sharpie black line at the exact point on the top or bottom bezel of your laptop exactly at 1/3 of the display from the right side. The trick here is that may fall off.

  2. Bring a soft measure tape to event to measure it out on-site

OOPS - YOU'RE NEVER MEASURED THIS OUT AND ARE ON-SITE

  1. This one is a bit tricky to explain but here goes:

    1. Open Online Ruler in browser as maximized

    2. Restore down Zoom underneath the Online ruler so Zoom is full width but you can see the ruler above/behind Zoom

    3. Do the math as to what is 1/3 of the full side-to-side monitor inches from the right side of your monitor and pull the video/screenshare slider there

    4. Maximize Zoom again and as the width of Zoom never changed - all is good

SUPER IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT RESIZING/MOVING ZOOM

Do not resize Zoom in any way DURING THE PROGRAM as it will impact the local recording. Keep Zoom in Maximized mode and any applications you open (if necessary) will open OVER Zoom
